Kuri is the first sort of home robot. It is specifically designed for entertainment and interacts with the users and captures moments all around the house daily. It has its own unique robot language. It is launched in 2015, as part of Bosch's Startup Platform, by Sarah Osentoski, Kaijen Hsiao and Mike Beebe, the company is based out of Redwood City, California.Kuri loves to dance to music and has a chest light that illuminates with the beat.It automatically returns for charging when the battery is low.

How does Kuri robot work?

It is equipped with four sensitive microphones that help him precisely locate sounds. It can detect your voice and turn his head to face you when you're giving him a voice command.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Kuri robot?

Advantages:
It recognize faces and context and adapt its responses. The responses include chirps and nods, since Kuri doesn't talk. It will play podcast, music and tell stories. It also has LEDs built into its chest that can change colors.

Disadvantages:
It only has 3~4 hours of battery life
It is 20 inches tall and 14 pounds, so it can't be easily carried up and down stairs.
